OPPORTUNITIES FOR REFLEXOLOGY WITHIN HOLISTIC NURSING APPROACH IN TAIWAN
As healthcare systems worldwide move toward person-centred and integrative care, reflexology offers a valuable bridge between traditional healing practices and modern holistic nursing. This keynote explores the development and integration of reflexology within Taiwan’s healthcare system, drawing on evidence-based research, clinical practice, policy leadership, and professional education.
A key focus is the leadership of Tsay Shwu-Feng in advancing reflexology at a national level. Through strategic policy development, collaboration across sectors, and the promotion of integrative care models, she has helped establish professional frameworks, increase recognition of reflexology, and improve public access to services.
The presentation also examines future opportunities, including strengthening research, expanding clinical integration, enhancing policy support, and fostering international collaboration. Taiwan’s experience provides an inspiring model for integrating reflexology into holistic nursing and offers valuable insights for the global advancement of integrative healthcare.
