BIOGRAPHY: MARALEE WEBBER
Maralee Webber is a Licensed Canadian Reflexology Teacher (LCRT) based in Peachland, British Columbia. She is an international speaker & presenter.
Maralee completed her training in 2015 and started her own business Irie Wellness – which means ‘to be at total peace with your current state of being’, infusing her love of Jamaica into her work. Maralee is a lifelong learner and is constantly upgrading her skills.
Maralee’s passion is educating people on the benefits of Reflexology. Being a mom to a special needs child, she saw a need for a shortened, adaptable reflexology treatment, so she went on to create her own unique protocol called the STAR Method for autism and special needs.
On a personal level, Maralee enjoys spending time with her family and friends camping, boating and hiking in the beautiful Okanagan Valley.
A MOTHER’S ROAR! SHINING LIGHT ON REFLEXOLOGY FOR AUTISM AND SPECIAL NEEDS
Purpose of Presentation: To introduce the ‘STAR Method’, an adapted method of reflexology developed specifically for Autism and Special needs clients.
Description: Autism and Special Needs diagnoses are on the rise! The CDC estimates by as much as 150% in the last 20 years. During this presentation, Maralee will share her journey as a mother to an Austic son, and how she gained first-hand experience utilizing reflexology techniques to help improve his physical and mental health and bring about a state of calm well-being. She will detail some of these techniques, including her own Star Method (Specially Targeted Adaptive Reflexology), along with things to be aware of when working with a variety of special needs clients. As a free gift, Maralee will also share the exact “sensory questionnaire” that she uses in her practice to accommodate her special needs clients.
