About ICR

The International Council of Reflexologists (ICR) was established in 1990 in Toronto by a group of Reflexologists determined to establish Reflexology as a self regulating profession. This group resolved to combine their efforts to ensure public safety and to promote the study and exchange of the knowledge and art of Reflexology within the profession.

PURPOSE To meet the needs of the Profession by providing a forum for the exchange of ideas and information; via quarterly newsletters and international conferences.

PRINCIPLES The Organization and its Members, in pursuit of the Purpose stated above, agree to act in accordance with the following Principles:

Set an example of inclusiveness, respectful consideration, and tolerance for any reflexology theory, technique, and practitioner.

All members shall have equal rights. The Organization will not discriminate on the basis of nationality, language, religion, sex, sexual orientation, color, ethnic origin, or age.

The Organization will not interfere with the actions of members, associations, or educational institutions within its membership so long as their actions do not harm individual members, other associations, or the public.

The International Council of Reflexologists conducts its affairs through a General Council to which all members belong and an Executive Board to which members are elected.

MEMBERSHIP Membership in the International Council of Reflexologists is open to all reflexologists, associations, educational institutions and teachers throughout the world regardless of methodology and techniques. ICR currently has members in twenty six countries.
